ABOUT RESIDENT RELAY

Who runs this site, and what happens here?

Resident Relay is an independent, founder-run resident project for Casa Lago renters. Renters hear plenty about their responsibilities; this site also asks what owners, managers, housing authorities, and local agencies are responsible for—and how residents can hold them accountable. It helps renters, with or without a voucher, understand their rights, document and report problems, and track what happens next.

Our status

The site is free to use. The .org address is a web address, not a nonprofit credential. Resident Relay does not claim to be a registered charity or a tax-exempt organization, and this site does not solicit donations. Its legal structure and public contact arrangements may change; any change will be stated here before the site makes new claims about them.

02

Independence and perspective

Resident Relay is not run by Casa Lago, Willow Bridge, a housing authority, the City, or any other government agency. Its founder's experience with housing problems helped shape the project. That perspective does not make the site a representative of every resident or make a submitted account a verified fact. The site does not speak for another resident without that person's separate authorization.

03

Why Resident Relay exists

Renters hear plenty about their responsibilities: paying rent, following the lease, and meeting program rules. Owners, managers, housing authorities, and public agencies have obligations too, and residents have a right to ask how those obligations are being met. Resident Relay helps Casa Lago renters, with or without a voucher, learn their rights, document and report problems, find the office that can act, and track whether a response or correction follows.

The site offers general information and tools. It is not legal representation, individualized legal advice, an emergency service, or an official complaint portal. A step here does not replace a required notice, report, filing, or deadline elsewhere.

What happens when you use a tool

Guides and My Plan

Read the guides without an account. My Plan stays on your device unless you choose to copy or export it; clearing browser data can erase it.

Private Resident Relay

If you authorize a message, the service sends its text to the management recipients you select. A relay reference means the email provider accepted it for delivery. It does not prove management received, read, answered, or resolved it.

Other submissions

Experience, question, billing, petition, and evidence tools each explain what they collect before submission. Resident-provided material starts unverified. Original files and individual stories are not automatically published or sent to management.

05

How information is checked

We prefer official records and identified sources, show relevant dates and limits, and distinguish a request from a response, finding, correction, or closure. Contacts and rules can change. A broken link or old number should be corrected, not treated as proof that a route no longer exists.

06

Questions and corrections

You can send a source correction, broken link, translation issue, or question through the private question form when it is accepting submissions. It asks for no email address, so we cannot reply directly. Do not put names, unit numbers, urgent requests, or sensitive records in that form. For a time-sensitive problem, use the relevant official route instead.
