CASA LAGO · WATER & UTILITIES
Questions about water at Casa Lago?
Maybe a charge doesn't make sense, your share seems too high, or you need to report a leak. We can help you find a place to start.
Choose the question that sounds most like yours:
01 · LOOK AT YOUR BILL
Let's start with one month.
Find the month that concerns you. Write down the water charge and, if you see one, the sewer charge. If you have an earlier bill, compare the amounts.
Did the charge suddenly go up?
Ask Casa Lago what changed that month and how it worked out your charge. You can ask for an explanation even if you don't know whether there's a mistake.
Does your share seem too high?
Ask for the total bill, how it was divided among homes, and what share was assigned to yours. You don't need other residents' personal information.
See which numbers to ask for
- The amount being divided. Which provider bills were used for that period, and how much of each was charged to residents? Water and sewer may have separate calculations.
- How it was divided. What total weights or units were used to divide it? What weight was used for your home? Were there exclusions, adjustments, or rounding? You need totals, not other residents’ personal details.
Your lease and utility addendum may explain the general rule. If you don't have them, ask for a copy. If you're asking about a payment, credit, or old balance, ask for your account record for that period.
See a message you can use
Replace the month and remove anything that does not apply. Opening the draft does not send it.
The reviewed Casa Lago utility addendum promises more detail about billing methods, calculations, and formulas on request. It does not expressly promise every provider invoice. Ask for the bill or a way to inspect it, and an explanation if it is unavailable.
02 · QUESTION A CHARGE
Point to the amount that concerns you.
Give the month, line item, and amount from your statement. Say why you are asking: a jump, a missing credit, a weight you do not understand, or a number that does not match the explanation. Ask for a written answer and, if appropriate, a correction.
The billing contact on your statement may explain how the charge appears on your account. Ask Casa Lago about records and decisions it controls. A question or dispute does not automatically change a payment due date; check any deadline while you wait.
If you use a voucher and your question concerns your rent share or utility allowance, ask your housing specialist too. Voucher help →
03 · LEAK OR OUTAGE
No water or a leak? Report it now.
Call the Casa Lago office. Say where it is happening, when it started, and whether it is still happening. Ask for a request number or written confirmation, and save it.
If you use the resident portal, confirm it created a request and save the number. We could not verify the signed-in workflow. If the problem appears to be in the street or public main, identify the provider for your address and report it there too.
Immediate danger? Call 911.
04 · CONTACTS & FOLLOW-UP
Keep your question and check the answer.
After asking about a charge
Keep the statement, a copy of your sent message, and any reply. An acknowledgment only confirms delivery; if it does not answer the question, ask when the explanation will come and follow up in the same thread.
After reporting a water problem
Keep the request number, date, person who responded, and what was done. If it remains unresolved, say so and ask when inspection or repair will happen.
Keep the next step in My Plan
This saves a general water-bill question only in this browser. In My Plan, add the month, charge, and follow-up date. It does not send the message or mark it sent.
For in-person delivery, ask for a dated acknowledgment. Check your lease if you need to give formal notice through a specific channel. If the office response does not resolve your question, ask the property manager to review the same thread and documents.
Evidence limit: the reviewed statements and addendum describe the general method, but do not include all monthly inputs needed to check a specific charge. A request, acknowledgment, explanation, and correction are different results.
